Admin

As an admin, you have full access to every collection, global, and configuration option in the PATHS platform. The Payload CMS admin panel is your central hub for managing users, content, billing, AI features, and platform settings.

After logging in at your PATHS admin URL, you will see the sidebar on the left. It is organized into several sections:

  • Collections — Users, Articles, Courses, Modules, Lessons, Media, Content Pillars, Membership Tiers, Tenants, Enrollments, Feedback, AI Usage Logs, and more.
  • Globals — Site Settings, AI Config, and other platform-wide configuration.
  • Account — Your own profile and logout option at the bottom of the sidebar.

22 collections

PATHS has 22 collections (18 custom + 4 from templates/plugins). You will primarily work with Users, Articles, Courses, Membership Tiers, and Tenants.

Key Admin Tasks

Your responsibilities span the entire platform:

  • User management — Create accounts, assign roles, reset passwords, and manage membership tiers.
  • Content oversight — Review, approve, and publish articles and courses across all content pillars.
  • Billing configuration — Link Stripe price IDs to membership tiers and monitor subscription status.
  • Tenant management — Set up organizations for B2B clients and manage multi-tenant access.
  • AI configuration — Select OpenAI models, configure RAG pipeline settings, and monitor AI usage.
  • Platform seeding — Populate the platform with foundation data and sample content for testing.

The dashboard shows recent activity across collections. Use it to quickly check:

  • Newly registered users awaiting role assignment
  • Articles in the editorial pipeline (draft, in review, approved)
  • Recent enrollments and course completions

Bookmark key pages

Bookmark the Users, Articles, and Courses collection pages for quick access. These are the collections you will visit most frequently.
