Content Analytics

Publisher

Coming Soon

Content analytics is a planned feature that is not yet available on the PATHS platform. This guide describes the capabilities that are being developed. You will be notified when analytics features become available.

Planned Analytics Features

The analytics system will give Publishers visibility into how content performs after publication, helping you make informed decisions about what to publish, update, or archive.

View Counts

Track how many learners are viewing each article. View counts will be available at the individual article level and aggregated by category, helping you understand which topics generate the most interest.

Engagement Metrics

Beyond simple page views, engagement metrics will measure how learners interact with content:

  • Read-through rate — What percentage of learners who start an article read it to completion
  • Average time on page — How long learners spend with each piece of content
  • Quiz completion rate — For articles with embedded quizzes, how many learners attempt and complete them

Content Performance Dashboard

A dedicated dashboard will provide an at-a-glance view of your content library's performance, including:

  • Top-performing articles by views and engagement
  • Content that may need attention (low engagement, high bounce rate)
  • Publication trends over time

Dashboard Preview

A visual preview of the analytics dashboard will be added here once the feature is available.

Once available, analytics will help you:

  • Prioritize publication — Publish more content on topics that learners engage with most.
  • Identify archival candidates — Articles with consistently low engagement over an extended period may be candidates for archiving or revision.
  • Coordinate with Editors — Share performance data with the editorial team to guide contributor focus toward high-demand topics.

Preparing for analytics

Even before analytics are available, you can build good habits. Keep notes on which topics you expect to perform well and revisit those assumptions once data becomes available.

Questions or Requests

If there are specific metrics or reporting capabilities you would find valuable, share your feedback with the platform team. Your input helps shape the analytics features being developed.
