How Organization Accounts Work
Organization UserWhen your employer or organization subscribes to PATHS, they create a dedicated workspace — called a tenant — for their team. Your organization administrator sets up this workspace, invites members, and assigns content access levels to the group.
What Is Multi-Tenancy?
PATHS uses a multi-tenant architecture, which means each organization operates within its own private space on the platform. In practice, this means:
- Your organization's content is separate — articles, courses, and learning paths assigned to your org are visible only to members of your tenant.
- Your personal account still works — if you have a personal PATHS subscription, you keep access to that content too.
- Data stays private — your progress, quiz results, and activity within the org are visible to your administrator but not to other organizations.
Think of it like email
Just as your work email and personal email are separate but accessible from the same device, your organization content and personal content coexist on PATHS without interfering with each other.
How Access Is Determined
Your available content is determined by two factors:
- Your personal subscription tier — Free, Regular, Premium, or Enterprise
- Your organization's access level — set by your admin when they configure the tenant
PATHS uses a "highest wins" policy. If your personal tier grants access to Regular content and your organization grants Premium access, you see everything up to and including Premium. You always get the superset of both.

You do not need to manage or configure any of this yourself. Your organization administrator handles all access-level assignments. If you believe you are missing content, reach out to your admin.
Your organization administrator is responsible for:
- Inviting and removing team members
- Setting the organization's content access level
- Assigning courses and learning paths to the team
- Monitoring team progress and completion rates
Compliance & Certifications
Organizations can track staff training compliance through PATHS:
- Certificates are automatically generated when you complete a course — see Team Certificates
- Team managers can view compliance status, certificate expiry, and export data — see Compliance Dashboard
- Some organizations configure certification expiry requiring periodic recertification
